Missile Defence Agency (MDA)

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
The most famous space agency in the world, in charge of everything from space sciences and research, through to the Space Shuttle, space exploration, and putting humans back on the Moon, and hopefully Mars.
National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
Tasks all imagery intelligence assets, including imagery satellites, analyses their data, and distributes it to all who need it.  Their motto: Know the Earth...Show the way.

National Security Space Institute
Just recently set up, a co-operative venture between US Air Force Space Command and several higher education institutions designed to raise the level of professional military space expertise throughout the US military and government
National Security Space Office
Lead office within the Pentagon on all military space issues.
Office of Force Transformation 
Vice-Admiral Arthur Cebrowski's outfit charged with overseeing Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld's vision of military transformation - a heavy military space emphasis in many of the programmes
The White House
The heart of US space policy-making, through the National Security Council, and budgetary issues, through the Office of Management and Budget
US Air Force Space Command
The lead, and largest, service command for all military space issues.  Based at Peterson AFB, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Other bases include Schriever AFB, Colorado and the launch complexes at Vandenburg AFB, California and Cape Canaveral, Florida.
US Army, Space and Missile Defense Command
The lead US Army command for all missile defence and space issues.
US Marine Corps Space Integration Branch
The real Starship Troopers!  Office charged with ensuring Marines become more space savvy.
US Navy - Naval Network and Space Operations Command
Exploits the ocean of space in order for the US Navy to command the oceans of Earth
US State Department, Space and Advanced Technology Office
Lead office for the representing US space interest abroad and the negotiating of interntional space treaties and agreements, including negotiations with the European Commission on GPS/Galileo issues
US Strategic Command
The lead, umbrella command for all US strategic forces, military space operations and computer network and information operations.  Based at Offut AFB, Omaha, Nebraska.
